DAWN

Dawn began her career in education as a British Sign Language Communicator for deaf students. She later retrained as a specialist teacher and spent over 20 years supporting young people with learning difficulties.

She now works as a self‑employed assessor, specialising in the diagnosis of dyslexia.

In her free time, Dawn enjoys Pilates, travelling, boating, and spending time with her family- especially her four amazing granddaughters.

Dawn always returns from her travels with sweets for the youth club, which she famously never forgets.

MARIA

Maria’s early years came with challenges, but with the support of dedicated support workers, she found her feet and built a positive future for herself. Their guidance helped her thrive, grow in confidence, and eventually run a successful business while providing a loving, stable home for her children.

Inspired by the impact others had on her life, Maria has recently joined the team and will soon begin her youth work training- keen to give young people the same encouragement and opportunities she once received.

In her free time, Maria can usually be found cheering on her sports‑loving family from the sidelines. She also organises an annual fundraiser supporting charities such as Elsie’s Rose, which provides vital help to local bereaved families during their most difficult moments.

STACEY

Stacey is a specialist in substance use and wellbeing, with a strong focus on prevention over crisis, which is an approach that works perfectly in youth work because it helps build resilience, supports early decision-making, and fosters positive coping skills.

Living locally in the New Forest, she loves working with young people because she enjoys empowering them, hearing their perspectives, and helping them make informed choices for their future.

In her spare time, Stacey is an avid traveller and has visited over 50 countries, with Japan being her favourite. She also enjoys discovering new cultures, trying different foods, and finding inspiration from her adventures to bring fresh ideas into her work with young people.
